Hello readers, let me start by saying that this food truck had me sweating. Abu Omar Halal is another mediterranean food truck I visited except the heat was turned up a notch. The atmosphere was pretty empty and the worker didn’t really care to talk. After getting my food there was no incentive to stay so I ended up taking my food home. I don’t want to be too harsh, I went a little too early so I was probably just there at the wrong time. The prices were definitely high yet the food was a higher quality then I’ve come to expect at a food truck. It was restaurant level food for a restaurant level price. The food is worth trying again at a different time, but I also might as well go to a sit down place.

At first I got the beef kabob plate for $8.50, creature of habit i know. I clearly wasn’t deterred by the giant flames painted on the side of the truck however the food was too hot for me and I decided to instead bring it home to my boyfriend, who ate it all. I decided to go for a safer option with the Italian chicken Shawarma for $10.50. For anyone with weak taste buds like me, this dish is a much better. Again, for the price you should go ahead and check out an actual restaurant. I love food trucks for the cheap food and atmosphere and I didn’t fulfill either of those qualifications here. In contrast, the food was still great and it came out in a timely matter so it wasn’t a total miss.
