Pancake Joe’s is a family owned diner with two locations in San Antonio. Boasting an extensive menu with dishes from stacks of delicious pancakes to philly cheese steak, anyone can find something to love.

A person’s experience dining at any restaurant starts outside of the establishment. The Ingram road location, the Pancake Joe’s i visited, has a small parking lot which I would imagine causes problems during busier operation hours. Having to park somewhere else and walking down the street may deter people. Walking into the building, you are greeted by the host stand overlooking the dining floor. Pancake Joe's is a smaller diner but has accommodated a good number of tables and booths. Unfortunately, this makes the place feel cramped. The booths themselves can technically fit four people, but they are very small; sitting four grown people would be very uncomfortable. An effort clearly went into decorating the older building to accommodate the guests but fitting everyone into a small location does hurt the experience.

When reviewing a restaurant, the food is arguably the most important part. Pancake Joe’s menu is exceptional. They are open for both breakfast and lunch and offer everything from stacks of pancakes to grilled fish. Everyone will be able to find something they love to eat. The food is absolutely delicious as the name would suggest the pancakes are great.

Most items on the menu hovering around $9 dollars makes the food very affordable. With large portion sizes, your money will go a long way in giving you a satisfied meal.

Pancake Joe’s is a great diner that best accommodates smaller groups of people looking for delicious affordable food.
